Rutland is one of the best places in the country to live, learn, work, play and visit. We may be the smallest Unitary Authority in England, but we can offer fantastic opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of the residents in our local community. This is your chance to become part of a great team, delivering great services throughout the County.
We require an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with experience of working in the waste management industry to ensure the delivery of high quality services for Rutland. You will be based in our Oakham offices but a significant part of the role will involve travelling across the county in order to carry out inspections and to ensure we fulfil our statutory duties. You will monitor the compliance of the Council’s contractors, deal with customer enquiries and undertake inspections and audits.
If you are organised, motivated and hold the WAMITAB Certificate of Technical Competence then this may be the position for you. We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively with customers and can solve problems, often when working under pressure. We need a great team player but also someone who can use their initiative.
We act as ‘One Council’ in all we do, with each of us working together in the most effective way to meet the needs of our customers every day – if you share this ethos then we very much want to hear from you.
