About Us
North Hertfordshire is a large rural district with approximately 125,000 residents with four historic towns, Hitchin, Baldock, Royston and Letchworth Garden City. The Council has a clear vision: to make North Hertfordshire a district in which everyone who lives, works or visits is able to flourish.
The role sits within the Waste Management Shared Service and is based in Buntingford.
Your Role
We seek a dynamic, extrovert with a passion for sustainability. You will have strong communication skills able to deliver complex messages and be persuasive in gathering interest in campaigns or our cause.
- You will have experience in delivering events and presenting to a wide range of audiences as well as experience in developing campaign material.
- You will have skills in developing work programmes and prioritising your own workload.
- You will be happy to work on your own will minimal guidance but also participate in the wider team projects and priorities.
- Experience working in the waste sector is desirable but not essential.
- You will be able to travel across the district as required to attend events, deliver talks and work with partners.
