An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to lead on our strategic and operational Waste Management, Environmental Enforcement and Bereavement Services teams.
The successful applicant will help to develop and manage our strategic, developmental and day to day operational delivery across these various service areas.
A fundamental part of the role will be to deliver the council’s response to the long-awaited National Waste Strategy when government releases its findings. You will help align our response to our ongoing enforcement and waste collection strategy which will be underpinned by a new fit-for-purpose policy. You will also oversee the delivery of our ongoing crematoria replacement project and further developing our bereavement services memorial offer.
To help us to do this, we are looking for an individual who has strong leadership qualities and is able to operate at a high level of professionalism at all times whilst maintaining a positive and professional outlook in maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, employees and customers within their area of operation. The successful candidate will join a highly motivated and valued team that is responsible for delivering high quality, reliable, safe and secure services to residents and businesses of the borough.
