Alliance Environmental Services Ltd is a Joint Venture Company of High Peak Borough Council, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Ansa Environmental Service Ltd. Delivering the Council’s domestic and commercial waste collection services, street cleansing, ground maintenance and cemetery services.
This is a time of real change for AES, a modernisation programme is underway to make improvements to the service, including the introduction of in-cab technology, a review of working practices, and changes arising from the new Environment Act.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Operations Manager to lead our High Peak operation.
We are looking for someone with experience in waste or environmental services, either in a direct operational management role, or through a contracted service. You will be able to inspire people, able to demonstrate how your strong performance management culture and focus on continuous improvement has led to success, whilst also creating an environment in which innovation and ideas can thrive. We want someone with a growth mindset, who will continue to be ambitious for our business and take us through the next phase of our journey. Strong partnership, governance, relationship management skills, and political awareness, will all be important, along with a good awareness of the developing policy and legislative landscape. Fundamentally, we are seeking someone with a passion for environmental services who relishes the autonomy of working in a commercial organisation, whilst delivering excellent public services and achieving our sustainability ambitions.
