This post fully manages the exciting in-house front line delivery of the Refuse & Recycling collection services for all stakeholders including residents and commercial businesses (both within the Borough and externally). To be responsible for the management of the day to day operation of this front line collection service and the management of the Depot’s Waste Transfer Station, monitoring performance, adhering to legislation, quality and safety standards at all times as well as ensuring Health and Safety, whilst providing guidance, direction and support to the operational team.
To enable you to carry out this role you will possess previous experience of working within a similar role, have proven people management ability, including the coaching and support of staff in all aspects of the role and business and knowledge of Health & Safety legislation. You will possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills and have a solid understanding of resource planning, financial budgets and cost control. You will be experienced in working management data and reports accordingly.
