An exciting opportunity has arisen within the busy Contracts Management section of Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority.
Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority has been managing the region’s household waste for over 20 years and is entering a new and exciting phase in its history. With a clear ambition to achieve Zero Waste by 2040, the Authority has two major waste management contracts in place to deliver effective waste services to Merseyside & Halton through re-use, recycling and energy recovery.
We are now looking to recruit a dedicated and suitably experienced person as ‘Contracts Officer’ to work within our Contracts Management team to help us ensure effective delivery of the contract services. You will play a pivotal role within the team, liaising between District Councils and contractors to ensure the smooth delivery of waste services. In addition, you will help the team to deliver a diverse and interesting range of projects aimed at improving the services and taking our contracts to the ‘next level’. With major changes to how our contracted services will be delivered in future, this is an exciting time to join our dynamic team.
