An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our team. Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking to recruit a Contract Management and Projects Officer within its Neighbourhood Environmental Services team.
We’re looking for a candidate with experience in contract management. The focus of the role will be to procure and manage medium (>£1m) to high value (>£5m) contracts to ensure we deliver high quality and value for money services within our waste, cleansing and fleet services group.
You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills. A commercial approach, highly numerate, with good problem-solving skills are also key attributes.
As a key member of the strategy team, you will be flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude. You will lead and support on the delivery of various projects across the group to aid the strategic delivery of our in-house services.
Candidates should have a relevant degree, or equivalent specialist qualification. You will have post qualification experience in procurement or benchmarking value for money, and management of the performance of external providers.
Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes walk away, but we work flexibly including from home and our depots, and cover the whole of Bath and North East Somerset.
