Looking for a rewarding job opportunity in Somerset? Want to support community groups working towards a more sustainable future? Then read on…
Somerset Council and SUEZ has commissioned Resource Futures to set up a Community Action Group (CAG) network in Somerset to empower community groups to act towards a more sustainable future, focussing primarily in the areas of waste reduction, compost, sharing, reuse and repair. As part of this work, Resource Futures is recruiting two posts - one is a 3 year fixed-term, 30 hours per week CAG Somerset Lead.
This is an exciting opportunity, leading the launch and delivery of the new Community Action Group (CAG) network in Somerset. CAG networks empower community groups to act towards a more sustainable future, focusing primarily on the areas of waste reduction, composting, sharing, re-use and repair. They provide community groups with the tools and support they need to thrive, such as support with insurance, guidance, and training, and provide opportunities for networking and sharing skills with other groups.
