Warwickshire County Council's austerity-busting recycling and re-use partnership with Age UK Warwickshire won Gold at the Improvement and Efficiency Awards 2016 in the category: 'Transformation in Waste & Environment'. The iESE Awards, run by the national Improvement & Efficiency Social Enterprise (iESE), showcase the best in transformation and improvement from councils, police, fire services and public partnerships.
Not content with that, the Warwickshire initiative - spanning the operation of eight recycling centre re-use shops plus two whole recycling centres - is also shortlisted in three categories at next week's Excellence in Public Procurement Awards 2016/17:
•Small Business / Third Sector Engagement Initiative of the Year
•Best Service
•Procurement Innovation or Initiative of the Year

Congratulations to Warwickshire County Council - hope they figure in our own awards this year!
