You are invited to a free webinar to learn more about Underground Refuse Systems in housing developments
Underground Refuse Systems (URS) are now used extensively in towns and cities throughout mainland Europe, offering the benefits of integrated waste & recycling in a housing development, and encouraging residents to segregate waste and recycle more.
Each URS can hold up to 5000 litres of waste or recyclables - equivalent to five large four-wheel bins. Yet, three of these systems can be installed in area of one car parking space. This allows architects and developers to make more productive use of areas otherwise required for bin stores. In the process, it improves the aesthetics with a modern, safe and clean design rather than an unsightly (often overflowing) bin store, which detracts from the architecture of the development.
The use of an integrated Underground Refuse System will reduce overall collection vehicle movements and speed up the whole collection process.
