Podback Developments
Will has over a decade of experience working in the recycling sector and leads on Podback's local authority partnerships. Will’s background includes working for Environmental Consultancy Resource Futures where he led on their waste services modelling and service change work. At Podback Will is using this experience to develop the coffee pod kerbside collection schemes, working closely with local authorities to develop operational solutions and provide full funding. He also manages all existing Podback local authority partnerships to ensure participation and recycling rates are maximised.
Case Study One
As Business Manager for Chichester District Council’s waste and recycling services, Amie is one of the project team responsible for the introduction of a new kerbside collection service for coffee pods, textiles and small electricals. The scheme has been operating for just over 12 months.
Case Study Two
Before joining Cheltenham Borough Council 25 years ago, Karen spent time in the private sector and the NHS in various fields including performance management, procurement and public relations. The last 10 years have been spent working in environmental services one way or another but mainly waste, recycling, street cleansing and grounds maintenance. Cheltenham’s council owned service provider, Ubico Ltd, provide excellent value for money services to residents in Cheltenham and their close working relationship with the Council enables the flexibility to respond to new challenges and initiatives such as the introduction of Podback in May 2021 and FlexCollect by the end of 2022.
