Following the violent disorder and extremist behaviour that took place earlier this month, the Local Government Association is organising a virtual session to bring together the views of Place Directors. Whether directly or indirectly affected there will have been added pressure on already stretched council place-based service teams, such as highways and waste.
This session is an opportunity to both share and hear from others how they have managed such incidents at the time and in the aftermath, including impact on services, businesses and on community cohesion. The Local Government Association will also be in discussion with central government about the support places will need to help with recovery - hearing your views on this directly will be extremely valuable.
