Organics Recycling 2015

Horwood House, Milton Keynes

Organics Recycling 2015 is the annual and most important meeting place for anyone affiliated to the organics recycling sector. This one day conference, exhibition and gala dinner will once again bring the sector together to debate and interact with peers and key decision makers.

Challenges facing a maturing industry will be at the forefront of this year’s conference. The biowaste sector contributes a greater tonnage to the recycling agenda than any other waste stream and moreover this is done at a cost to the taxpayer which is unrivalled by other materials streams. The industry needs to shout about this more than ever as local authorities come under greater fiscal pressure in 2015.

This event which is this year in its 21st year provides a unique opportunity for anyone involved in the collection, treatment or use of biodegradable resources, to learn about the latest developments in policy, technical innovation and regulatory change.

Dan Roberts, our West Midlands rep and Senior Environmental Services Officer at South Staffs Council will  deliver a presentation titled “Quality Optimisation: A Local Authority Perspective on Getting it Right” which will focus on the work done at South Staffs regarding resident communication, crew engagement, use of technology, collection and green waste disposal contract monitoring/mechanisms etc in order to ensure a quality output from their garden waste collection service.
