The Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management is looking for nominations for the 2020 Local Authority Recycling Champion.
If you know someone who goes the extra mile in the quest to drive up household recycling rates and who inspires other to do the same, then send in your nomination today!
LARAC have been informed by the organisers that the entry deadline has just been extended by a week until Friday 20th March, so you still have plenty of time to make an entry.
Last year’s winner was Tina Norman Ross of Guernsey Waste. Steve Eminton, editor of letsrecycle.com and part of the judging panel said, “Tina was selected for the award for her tireless face-to-face outreach activity, being ever present at countless weekend and evening events, as well as making presentations to community groups and schools. She is a very deserving winner of one of our favourite categories.”
If you’re short on time but know a worthy winner, please email events@environmentmedia.co.uk with the name of the person you would like to nominate and a short paragraph explaining why they should be considered.
Winners will be recognised at a glitzy ceremony on 14th May 2020 at the luxurious Landmark Hotel in London. For more information visit www.awardsforexcellence.co.uk
